🚀 A New Platform for Vibe Coders: Your Honest Feedback Needed!
Hey Dev.to family! 👋 Remember when we all started "vibe coding" and built 47 todo apps, 23 weather widgets, and countless clones of existing apps? Yeah, me too. 😅 The real challenge isn't how to build anymore (thank you, AI!) - it's what to build. After seeing so many talented vibe coders create solutions to problems that... well, nobody really had, I decided to tackle this head-on.
🛠️ What I Built
BuildWhatMatters.dev - A platform that helps vibe coders find validated problems before we start building. Think of it as problem discovery for the AI generation. Instead of building another todo app, what if you could find real problems that people are actively looking for solutions to?
Here's a quick 2-minute walkthrough of how it works:
🤔 Why I'm Here
I built this specifically for vibe coders tired of creating cool demos that nobody wants. You know the feeling—you're skilled enough to build anything with AI, but finding what to build? That's the real challenge.
Access is completely free right now - just head to the site, sign up, and claim your seat. There's a 2-minute video on the landing page that shows exactly how the whole process works.
I’m looking for fellow vibe coders who:
- Are actively looking for valid problems to solve
- Want to build businesses, not just projects
- Don’t mind testing something that’s still being polished
❌ What I'm NOT Looking For
- Generic "looks good" feedback
- People who just want to sign up and never use it
- Anyone who's not actually building things
✅ What I AM Looking For
- Real usage and genuine reactions from actual vibe coders
- "This sucks because..." feedback (seriously, be brutal)
- Ideas for what's missing or could be better
- Early testers before I finish the marketing automation features
The platform's core is solid, but I’m still developing the marketing automation side of things. This means you get to test everything before it’s officially ready and help shape how it evolves.
💭 The Reality Check
I spent weeks building this, but I know that doesn't mean it's useful. The vibe coding community is incredibly creative and resourceful—if this doesn't add real value to your workflow, I want to know. Maybe the idea is solid but the execution needs work. Maybe the whole concept is flawed. Maybe it's exactly what some of you have been looking for. I genuinely don't know yet.
🙋♂️ If You're Interested
Just head over to BuildWhatMatters.dev and claim your free seat. It takes literally 30 seconds to get started. Then come back here and let me know what you think! I'm genuinely curious if this hits the mark for fellow vibe coders or if I'm completely off base.
Bonus: Since you're getting early access before the marketing automation is fully baked, you'll see the platform evolve in real-time. Plus, your feedback will directly influence what gets built next.
